“Getting to zero: zero new HIV/AIDs infections. Zero discrimination. Zero AIDS related deaths”. The World AIDS Campaign focus on “Zero AIDS related deaths” signifies a push towards greater access to treatment for all;- AIDS is one of those contagious diseases, which spreads from person to person,
The organization has been observed on World AIDs day meeting programme was successful conducted on 1th December, 2015 at Berhampur & Manitara . The meeting / discussions were performed that numbers of AIDs patients have been death on day to day worst situations are going on these areas. Some patients having faced as fear complex, always living in secretly & loneliness / likely remaining distance living and How to provide better health service also frequently serve testing, treatment and medicine supply, referral, Focus Group Discussions along with facilities services towards destitute to formed Healthy Living Society and implementation of alternative medicine system like as micro-nutrients and immune-modular herbal product, Microvitae etc. It will be created a standard health living to every person, More than 122 persons / delegates were attended in the said programme. Overall maximum numbers of delegates were joined with our hands to control the programme.
ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) THEMATIC TRAINING PROGRAMME :
The organization has signed a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) on 6th September, 2009 between “PROGREESS” and “Medical Officer In-charge of Primary Health Centre (PHC) Balisira on behalf of the District Rural Health Mission (NRHM), Health & Family Welfare department, Government of Orissa” to organize / conduct of Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) Thematic Training at Balisira PHC of Aska Block in Ganjam district.
The programme is to address the health needs of rural population, especially the vulnerable sections of the society. The new band of community based functionaries termed as ASHA provided under NRHM act as bridge between public health system and the community. One ASHA has been provided per each Anganwadi centre in the state.
ASHA is the first port of call for any health related demands of deprived section of the population, especially women, children, old aged, sick and disable people. ASHA as a vital change agent who is expected to be a catalyst in improving the health status of the vulnerable section of the society.
Role and Responsibilities :-
The role and responsibilities of ASHA are to create awareness, counseling, mobilization, village health plan formed, escort / accompany and provision of primary medical health care.
“PROGRESS” was providing the training programmes of ASHA Thematic in second round. Capacity building of ASHA is critical in enhancing her effectiveness. Training shall equip her with necessary knowledge and skills to perform her roles and responsibilities effectively. Though training of ASHA is a continuous process yet there are two mandatory training which she has to under go :-
- Induction training for a period of 5 days and a follow-up training of two days.
- Thematic training of 16 days (4+4+4+4) inclusive of field trainings.
Component :-
Health service component of ASHA worker is :-
*Maternal Health *Janani Surakhya Yojana (JSY)
*Child Health
*Family Planning
*RTI / STI
*National Health Programme.
ASHA at village level should acquire the relevant knowledge on these aspects whereby she would be able to communicate the Health message effectively and efficiently.

The training programmes have been enacted to cover more than 3 moths. The organization also performed the Focus Group Discussion, Village meeting, Field training and door to door for household data survey were successfully conducted through sub-centre ANMs, Anganwadi worker & ASHA workers.
OBSERVED WORLD AIDS DAY PROGRAMME :
The organization has observedc World AIDS Day Programme on 1st December, 2009 at Primary Health Centre, Balisira. On this day, we have organized a public rally and meeting for improve access to care and treatment with the co-operation all PHC staff, other NGO, School children and ASHA were attended in the said programme.
Dr. S.C.Rath (Medical Officer-in-charge) of Balisira PHC was presided over the meeting. More than 80 ASHA and other participants were attended in the meeting.
FREE HEALTH CAMP :
The organization has been organized a Free Health Camp at GOUDAGOTHA PHC area. Specially we served in Paediatrics, Malaria, TB treatment towards patients. Dr. Sashibhusan Panda (Medical Officer In-charge) of Badagada C.H.C. and all PHC staff of Goudagotha provide / served to the public. More than 186 patients were benefited through the FREE medical / health service in difficult circumstance people.
WORLD AIDS DAY
PROGREESS has performed / participated a rally and meeting on the “World Aids Day” on 1st December 2006. Many organizations of Berhampur city has been participated and as well as Health department of government of Orissa has involved in the world AIDS day program. Thousands of people / school / college students involved the rally programme. In this context, we have declared to identify and counseling to more patients with co-operation of ART centre.
CELEBRATED WORLD HEALTH DAY :
The organization have been observed on the occasion of World Health day meeting programme on 7th April, 2007 at Hotel Bhubaneswari Conference Hall premises about the meeting / discussion was to serve Health services towards destitute to formed a Healthy Living Society by the micro-nutrients and immune-modular herbal products. It will be created a standard health living to every person, specially those who are suffering from very chronic/critical/ hereditary disease as ‘Health is Wealth’ for all. More than 50 persons / delegates were attended in the said programme. Overall maximum numbers of delegates were joining with our hands.
OBSERVATION OF NATIONAL SAFE MOTHERHOOD DAY :
The organization has observed / organized National Safe Motherhood day with collaboration / partnership of PHC management under Human Development Foundation and Dist. Health Administration of Ganjam district.
There were organized a meeting at ‘Ganjam Kala Parishad’, Brahmapur to discourse – How to take proper care at the time of pre & post delivery period of Antenatal & Postnatal case to train/aware about beneficial of ‘Janani Surakhya Yojana’ (JSY), Anemia, Nutritional situation of the patient etc.
As a result of intensive capacity building of nurse midwives and the village level link workers under the awareness programme. The centre should well equipped to provide better quality of antenatal care, which includes provision of basic laboratory testing services at the door step of the beneficiaries during the field clinics.
In this contest Primary Health Centers propose to provide out-reach pathological service is to be started soon at difficult circumstances area.
Early timely detection and registration of pregnancy is to ensure delivery of ANC services of normality’s and complications. Early detection of pregnancy also provide women with control over their pregnancy and reproductive live. The village level motivation have been trained to conduct the test and counsel women both before and after test. The CDMO, Ganjam has been delivered his speech about to provide Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) during pregnancy, Blood grouping, Hemoglobin check-up, counseled for proper nutrition, adequate rest, check-up weight, Blood pressure, Regular monitoring, JSY benefit. More than two hundred women, ASHA worker, Anganwadi worker and public were also attended in the said programme.
Dr. Almas Alli consultant of Population Foundation of India and Dr. R.B.Gochayat, Chief District Medical Officer, Ganjam were delivered their speech. Ultimately the organization telecasted A video show about RCH-II over audience (such DVD collectied from WHO).
OBSERVATION OF HIV / AIDS DAY AND ITS SURVEY :
The organization has observed HIV/AIDS day on 1st December, 2009 with the other organizations. We take a meeting at Ananda Marga Conference Hall regarding HIV/AIDS treatment to start Survey programme an unique method highlights by Dr. Lokanath Pradhan (Scientist / Research of HIV/AIDS treatment) has taken step to Research / applied service for curable of such decease through Spiritual Healing Power and provide chargeable water to the needy patients on free of cost. He suggested gradually their day to day CD value shall increased through his treatment.
Public awareness (IEC/ BCC/ Advocacy) campaign on Dengue
Fifteen day public awareness campaign on Dangue at Baranga, Tutipur, Kesharipada, B. Nuagam, Gudipadar area of Patrapur block. The organization has taken out-door propaganda by mobile van, Meeting organized at different villages and Health check-up in many school with active participation of Primary Health Centre (New), Baranga.

Observed World Tuberculosis day-
“Stop TB in My Lifetime”
PROGREESS had organized a special programme on World TB Day on 24th March, 2013 in which Dr.Damodar Patro, Dr.J.RamaRao (Rotarian), Dr. S Ramakrishna and Dr.Trinath Sahu were invited to perform a special programme on How to prevent the TB, Prevention methods. An outdoor programme was recorded as a traditional folk art form called Pala/ Dasakathia format. This program was focused on safety measures of TB, how to prevent and how to build the awareness on TB disease among the public. Both programees will be aired on World TB Day (24 March Day) at Berhampur.
